Learn How To Edit

The thought was on my mind for years but I never followed those dreams. My writing was good, I understood what the stories were saying so there must be hope for me to get a publishing contract I thought.

After reading the attempts of the previous decade, it was evident that help was needed. The stories mentioned above read like a high school English student wrote them. After taking courses online related to writing novels and submitting stories to contests, my writing improved.

I thought, since I was born and raised in the United States, the idea that I knew what it took to write a book was thrashed upon investigating further. The flaws were brought to light.

I decided to use a program with an editing tool and took its suggestions. I would then research the reasons for those corrections so my writing would continue to improve. Editing software is still utilized as my novel is written but the software doesn't correct my writing as much as it did in the past.

The tip I would like to impart today would be to have a firm grasp on the english language. Editing software would be a huge help to further those writing aspirations and become a best selling author.
