Jump for joy

Woohoo...Jump for joy because a major milestone has been achieved!

In October of 2021, I made the decision to write a novel. At first, it was difficult. Coming up with ideas was straining but I found that watching a certain movie genre aided my creativity. Once those juices were flowing, research was another huge hurdle since the only research I did was as a diesel technician. Certain aspects of the story needed investigated making progress slow. In April of 2022, I decided to start this journal and get the word out to friends and family of my intent as a way to hold myself accountable.

I will be honest and say doubts did arise. Wih my health issues in continuous upheaval, there were times, days in fact, throughout this process that I couldn't add to my novel but my brain kept churning and ideas fought with an unable body for an avenue with which to escape.

The milestone I referred to is that the novel now has twenty chapters completed. What this means is that it has approximately 50,000 words written and my plan for this book has always been to have 100,000 words which is the average length for the genre. When this was noticed, it felt like a weight was lifted from my chest which has me antsy to have my book finished.

I also just found out that comments to posts weren't posting which was an irritation and that setting has been fixed. To those of you who left comments, I do apologize and I did reply.
