This tip was a hard one for me. It was hard to be consistent when everything was so physically taxing, it still is. Consistency is key where writing is concerned and once you've been doing it a while, you'll find it gets easier and new ideas will start pouring from your fingertips.

The desire to write will become a need. You'll notice that ideas will start flowing from your mind on a more consistent basis. I've heard the saying that you must write every day. This might work for some people but for others, it might wear them down. I fall into this group with my disability.

I would recommend taking an occasional break. Because of my physical limitations, what seems to work for me so I don't get burned out, is to stop writing for a few days. That would also be a point in my novel that writing has stalled. During my writing break, I would continue ruminating on the scene but nothing would be inputted into the novel. My contemplation would also allow ideas for new scenes to emerge. After a few days, my mind would be antsy to begin writing again.

While I was takinga break from writing, I would watch TV, read books, go to the gym, or putter around town in my wheelchair.

Movies I enjoy are most of the action and adventure movies that make it to the theaters, some romance, some comedies.

Books that interest me are action and adventure, legal thrillers, westerns and space faring thrillers.

This is my process and when I become a best selling author, you will be able to tell people what my process was. If you are curious about writing, I hope this helps to enlighten you in some small way.
